Subject: Re: A question

Exceptions will only work on whole words. Here are some suggestions on how to get around it:
1. If the filenames are as simple as the example you give below, then set the Case Convert functions to upper case.
2. Use the Find & Replace function. Enable "case sensitive" and you will be able to replace eg Sc with SC. This function has a "batch replace" list that you can use similar to the exceptions list.
3. Insert a hyphen or space after the prefix to make it appear as a "whole word", eg: SC-8401-10

When I set up the preset, I took into consideration my disk numbers, which come with a prefix designation such as: Sound Choice is abbreviated as SC, Sunfly as SF, Sunfly Most Wanted as SFMW…and then the disk number and then the track number. So, a typical disk number would look like so….SC8401-10, SF275-01, SFMW801-15…and so forth. Now, when I set up the presets for the casing, I use exceptions such as SF, SF, SFMW but when I run the presets….or even in the main Renamer windows, it ignores the exceptions and I come up with Sc8401-10, Sf275-01, Sfmw801-15, and so forth. This might seem negligible to most people but when you deal with as many files as I do and I love my files to be consistent, it then becomes an issue for me.
