Yes, I have tested Flash Renamer on Vista and it should work without problems.
I'm not 100% sure of what kind of problems you have. If possible, you are welcome to send me a screenshot showing Flash Renamer. That would be helpful.
A tip: There is a button with a folder icon right to the left of the "path input textbox". Click on this button to browse for folders.
